The 2018 edition kicks off with excitement of the fifth annual running of the SFC Randall Shughart Memorial 5 Miler on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, and continues with the sport of kings - Tractor Pulling on Saturday night, August 4th! Miss Cumberland Ag Expo 2018 will be crowned on Monday after all of the home exhibits are checked in. The Blue Ribbon experience continues on Tuesday with judging of entries and entertainment by Central Pennsylvania''s own Charles Lee! Indian Summer Jars take the stage on Thursday evening. Little Miss and Wee Little Miss will be crowned on Friday. Ryan Bridge "The Bugman" will bring his informative program out on Saturday afternoon, and Vulcans will be on stage Saturday night. Of course, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 10th - 12th are an excellent chance to see livestock up close at the Summer Showdown competitions.
2018 participants in the SFC Randall Shughart Memorial 5 Mile Run - Online registration and timing is provided by the good people of Timber Hill Timing and the CV Race Series - sign up now at Online Registration - or sign up between 7:30 and 8:30 AM race day at the Newville Trailhead of the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail. Mail in form can be downloaded here. Mail it in or bring it along with payment!
Blue ribbons and champions will be determined in the baking contests on Monday the 6th. All home products judging will be complete in time for Tuesday evening. Complete special contest results will be available on Facebook, as they are available!
